Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Executive Housekeeper, this position is responsible to assists in the managing and directing of the day–to–day operations of all Housekeeping, Linen and Uniform functions and Laundry. Supervises and coordinates activities of Room Attendants, Linen Attendants, Uniform Staffs, Laundry Attendants and Supervisors including the development of the Team Members within the group so to provide exceptional experience for our Guests.

• Develops employees to maximize potential and prepare for future promotional opportunities by conducting counseling sessions, determining developmental needs and allowing these needs to be met
• Conducts effective employee meetings and counseling sessions
• Determines, communicates, and monitors achievement of standards of performance on a timely basis
2 Deputies in absence of the Executive Housekeeper
3 Assist in overseeing housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
4 Implement, effectively, all Housekeeping policies and procedures including Health and Safety and security
5 Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories; amenities and facilities
1 Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping as identified by the hotel brand standards
2 Perform routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas and report any issues to the Executive Housekeeper
• Guestrooms – Spot checks 40 guestrooms per day, 20 vacant and cleaned, 20 occupied
• Linens – Randomly checks all linens daily
• Laundry – Randomly checks laundry area daily
1 Ensure communication meetings are conducted
2 Assist the Executive Housekeeper to maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers
3 Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and patrons’ complaints, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
1 Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules
2 Control all expenditures relating to Housekeeping, including manpower count, chemicals, and all cleaning supplies and equipment
1 Monitor grooming and appearance standards and conduct of staff
2 Ensures staffing levels cover business demands
3 Assists in staff recruitment
4 Ensure ongoing training to support the Executive Housekeeper
5 Conducts staff performance appraisal
6 Rewards employees who use their empowerment to meet or exceed guest expectations.
1 Assist other departments whenever necessary
2 Attend to any guest complaints and take service recovery measures if required.
